How do I get a full-screen alarm when my focus timer ends?

If you sometimes miss notifications when you're in the flow, alarms are a more prominent option. On iOS 26, Focus can end a session or break with a full-screen, sounding alarm — even when a system Focus is on. Tap to start the next session, or stop the timer when you're done.

To set it up, open Focus settings, go to Notifications & Alarms, choose the Alarms style, and accept the authorization. If alarms don't appear, enable them for Focus in the Settings app under Apps.

Alarms are an iOS feature; on the Mac, full-screen notifications do the same job.
