Set Up Focus

How many hours of focused work per day is realistic?

Aim for a daily amount of focused time that feels right for you.

A daily goal gives your focus a target — a realistic amount of concentrated time to aim for each day. It turns a vague intention into something you can actually track in Activity.

Start where you are. If you're new to working in intervals, two hours of true focus is a great day; over time you can build toward around four, which is about as much deep concentration as most people can manage. An hour you'll actually reach beats four you won't.

Throughout the day, Focus shows how close you are — so finishing one more session feels meaningful. Raise the goal as the habit settles in.
